Tricks and Treats
Amy Clark, a mommy blogger and avid supporter of RMHC has a sense of creativity and a couple tricky Halloween crafts up her sleeve.
On her blog, MomAdvice, Amy highlights crafting as one of her favorite family activities. She believes it's a great way to bond with your children and teach them an appreciation for the arts. Amy knows that we're not all naturally gifted crafters though. So for the less curiously creative, she's put together some fun and easy ideas to help inspire some family crafting time. Take a look!
The staff and volunteers at Ronald McDonald Houses around the world have the same idea as Amy. For children and families coping with scary circumstances fun activities like crafting can sometimes be the best medicine and stress reliever. Lots of Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms host crafting sessions on a weekly basis. And lots of times, these activities are arranged by local volunteers. After you get inspired by Amy's ideas, think about hosting a craft night at your local RMHC program.
This interactive way of giving back can make a big difference for families that are going through some of the most trying of times.
