Audrey Buxton
A High school senior in Springfield, Missouri, who volunteers with her local Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.
“I have wanted to be a dentist for quite some time … and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile seemed like a great place to have exposure to the field and also help children at the same time.” -
Les White
The executive director of the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Australia spreads the word about the Ronald McDonald House he helped to get build in 1991.
“Many families say to me, ‘I just don’t know how I will cope,” Les explains. “So the first thing I do is tell them abut the Ronald McDonald House. They are immediately reassured to know they will receive not only comfortable accommodations but emotional support from staff, family and other families.” -
Yasemin Yuceturk
This former journalist volunteers at the Ronald McDonald Room at the Marmara University Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, where she welcomes families and helps them feel at home.
“You see and hear so much in the hospital. Families endure a great deal of sorrow, pain and sometimes hopelessness. Often they just need someone who will listen.” -
Alejandra
Alejandra plays a small cuatra for the families staying at Casa Ronald McDonald in San Juan. The House program gave her and her family comfort and support while she went through therapies, now she wants to give back by volunteering her time and talent at the House.
Recently, Alejandra celebrated her 15th Birthday and the families, staff and volunteers of Casa Ronald McDonald surprised her with a party and a new cuatro.

Mary Pendleton
Mary Pendleton, the 92-year old grandmother of Jessica Kizer, a cancer survivor that stayed at the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, has been baking cakes for the Ronald McDonald House of Austin and Central Texas for the past 20 years. Her cakes are a sweet ritual for the families staying at the House and the warm smile and cheerful demeanor with which she delivers them are truly the icing on the cake.

Don Freed
Don Freed, set a record this winter for most number of hours served at any Ronald McDonald House in the state of Ohio. He’s volunteered more than 15,000 hours of his time since joining the House as a volunteer in 1995.

Morgan Christian
When 12-year-old Morgan wanted to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House of Winsten Salem, she made her activity into a group project. She recruited 3 generations of her family – sister, mother and grandmother - to pitch in.
