FOX Sports & RMHC

Ronald McDonald House Charities is the Official NASCAR on FOX Charity for the 2010 Season.

RMHC is proud to have been selected to the starting field on the FOX Sports charitable initiative called FOX Sports Supports. From the starting flag at the grand daddy of them all, the Daytona 500, to the longest race of the year, the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, NC, FOX Sports Supports is devoted to increasing awareness, volunteerism and donations for RMHC through on-air mentions and public service announcements. In previous years, FOX Sports employees voted for the organizations they wanted FOX Sports Supports to champion but this year the NASCAR on FOX charity was selected with special significance. FOX Sports chose RMHC in honor of the late Tom Murphy from Sprint Nextel.  Murphy, who was Sprint's VP of Corporate Branding for its NASCAR Division, was an active supporter of RMHC.

This is not the first time that RMHC and NASCAR have come together in the starting lineup.  Kasey Kahne, a Celebrity Friend of RMHC and driver of the #9 Budweiser Dodge in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has been a long-time supporter of RMHC and its three core programs: Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. Through the Kasey Kahne Foundation, he has generously donated $500,000 to RMHC.
