Finding Inspiration
The Kopplins bravely shared their story of their son Lance, his fight with cancer and the role a Ronald McDonald House played in his recovery. One mother came across his story when research her own daughter's illness and found the inspiration she needed.
Dear Ronald McDonald House Charities:
I want to briefly share an amazing story that came as the result of the RMHC web story about my son Lance. A desperate mother staying up until 3 a.m. googled something about orbital rhabdomyosarcoma and was brought to the rmhc.org website. She saw Lance's story. It was nearly identical to what her daughter is currently going through. Her daughter just had her eye removed in December. Mom had been up all night looking for answers, looking for hope. And found it! She then found us on facebook. This just happened last night! She is absolutely thrilled - beyond words. Lance's story is the only survivor story she was able to find (with the same cancer). I have worked all day to connect her with others, and discuss treatments, etc.
One of the great things about RMH is that families are able to find comfort in one another, and many become friends for life.
So wow, the commercial is far from done with it's impact! We can't thank you enough.
Thanks!
Jolene Kopplin
