Service with a Smile
Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter, Mr. Appliance, The Grounds Guys, Aire Serv, and Glass Doctor are in the business of servicing their customers with a smile.
And The Dwyer Group knew they could not only provide a smile, but a handy, helping hand to the 173 Ronald McDonald Houses in the US and Canada.
The Dwyer Group’s service brands joined together to support RMHC and its families in 2010 making a commitment of a significant annual cash donation of $100,000. The six service brands also decided to take it a step further by donating their services to RMHC Chapters doing the kind of handy work that makes our Houses into homes. Things like glass and mirror installation, plumbing work, donating and servicing appliances, electrical wiring, landscaping, and heat and air conditioner installation and servicing.
"Our franchise brands know what it means to be of service so customers can have peace of mind and focus on more important things," said Dina Dwyer-Owens, CEO and chairwoman of The Dwyer Group. "That is why supporting RMHC is a perfect fit to extend that message in another meaningful way."
For instance, when the Ronald McDonald House of Orange was in need of kitchen repairs so RMHC families could have a safe and comfortable place to gather and share meals after a long day at the hospital, Mr. Electric of Orange owner Randy Miller saw an opportunity to help. He and his family stepped up to perform more than $1,400 of services for the House.
This is not merely a random act of kindness; its common among The Dwyer Group franchise brands. They have donated $150,000 worth of in-kind goods and services to the Charity’s network of programs over the past year.
“Our Houses need constant maintenance to ensure families come back from the hospital each day to a comfortable home,” said Marty Coyne, president and CEO, RMHC. “This partnership has made it even easier for the staff at Ronald McDonald Houses to ensure the Houses are close to perfection for families.”
Thank you Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter, Mr. Appliance, The Grounds Guys, Aire Serv and Glass Doctor for serving RMHC, its programs, and its families so thoughtfully, generously, and kindly...and always with a smile.
