Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb (or 1 cup or 2 sticks) butter
- 1/2 lb (about 2 cups) brown sugar
- 1 lb (about 3-1/3 cups) all-purpose flour
- 2 cans (21 ounces each) sliced apples/pie filling
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Topping:
Use butter at room temperature and cut into small pieces.
In electric mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar using a paddle mix on low speed. completely covered.
Slowly fold in butter.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
Apple Filling:
Combine apples, granulated sugar and cinnamon.
Spread mixture onto baking pan and sprinkle on topping until your mixture is into small pieces.
Bake at 325°F for 35 to 45 minutes; be sure to rotate the pan during baking.
Bake until topping is brown and crisp and filling is hot and bubbly.
Best served warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
