Our Impact
Every program and service you help us support gives families with sick children more tools to cope.
RMHC programs help alleviate some financial burdens for families with sick children. We help our families save over $930 million each year in lodging and meal costs alone.
Our global reach supports communities throughout the world.

90% of top children’s hospitals around the world are home to at least one RMHC core program.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) supports local Chapters by helping provide vital services and compassionate care to children and their families.
Through the generous support of our donors, we help increase the number of services and programs to help even more families with sick children each year.

Growing globally to serve more families
In 2018, we continued to expand our programs to fulfill the unmet needs of families around the world. Systemwide, 5 new Ronald McDonald House programs opened and 8 House programs increased sleeping rooms. 21 new Ronald McDonald Family Room programs opened and one new Ronald McDonald Care Mobile was launched.
536,000+ volunteers dedicate their time and talent around the world, allowing Chapters to direct more donation dollars to other areas of programming that support families and children.

You can give the gift of togetherness and help support more families around the world when you start a fundraiser.

Our global offerings support local needs
Some RMHC programs are locally tailored to make a measurable difference in the lives of families and children. A sample of these additional programs include:

Ronald McDonald Learning Program, RMHC Australia
For thousands of children in Australia who are treated for serious illnesses, the impact of hospitalization, medications, and lengthy convalescence means that many fall behind in their studies. This program helps children catch up on their learning, helping them reach their full potential.
Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit Learning Centers, RMHC Philippines
Accredited social workers and community volunteers facilitate lessons and group activities for the children to learn basic skills through fun and engaging activities. To date there are 32 active learning centers throughout the Philippines.

Since 2016, the Ronald McDonald Family Cabins have accommodated over 700 children and their families.
