RMHC Taiwan
Enhancing Volunteer Engagement

Providing round-the-clock service with limited full-time staff, the Ronald McDonald House in Taipei relies on a strategic allocation of volunteers. A stable and quality volunteer team is crucial for meeting the diverse service demands, so the Chapter’s dedication to maintaining top-tier volunteer manpower ensures smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.

Volunteer Engagement at RMHC Taiwan exemplifies a comprehensive strategy, evaluated by five key initiatives:

  • Volunteer Recruitment - using social media and clear role descriptions.

  • Training - consulting data and feedback to develop specialized skills, standardize service, and foster unity.

  • Family Day - foster a strong connection with the RMHC mission among volunteers and their families.

  • Evaluation - annual assessment to identify areas for improvement and enhance volunteer services.

  • Year-End Appreciation Banquet - foster a sense of community, express gratitude, inspire continued dedication.

The Chapter’s goals are to stabilize volunteer capacity, elevate service quality, instill pride and camaraderie among volunteers, and acknowledge their invaluable contributions.

This rigorous approach ensures a dedicated volunteer base, with 12% serving 1-5 years, 66% contributing 5-10 years, and a noteworthy 22% committing over a decade. These figures underscore the deep bond and commitment volunteers have with RMHC Taiwan.
